Entire Fresno company gives a day’s pay to worker’s sick daughter

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) — One Fresno company, wanted to do something special for the sick daughter of one of its workers.

Barrier Roofing and Solar declared Thursday as “A Day for Felicity.”

Felicity Adams is 10-year-old is the daughter of James Adams who’s worked at the company for a long time. He says she needs a new kidney and has pricey medical bills.

Adams said, “She’s on a feeding tube. She’s on dialysis 12 hours a night but she’s a trooper. She keeps fighting and she won’t give up.”

Her disease causes speech and vision problems, and her parents say their medical bills are overwhelming. Barrier Roofing President Blair Cunnings said, “No child should have to go through what she’s going through so if we can help her in anyway, we need to take the burden off of her.”

Cunnings says every single one of his 70 employees is giving one day’s pay to Felicity’s family, they’re calling it, “A Day for Felicity.”

The company Barrier Roofing also matched the amount that all their employees gave.

This little girl is looking for an O or O+ donor, so she can get that new kidney that she desperately needs.
